European Defence Fund Reinforces Commitment to Europe’s Defence & Security Industrial Capabilities

European Defence Fund (EDF) today reaffirmed its commitment to supporting strategic, sovereign-aligned defence and security industrial projects across Europe, working in close coordination with governments, public authorities, and state-linked institutions.

European Defence Fund is a privately funded defence and security platform dedicated to strengthening Europe’s industrial capacity, technological resilience, and strategic autonomy in defence-related and dual-use sectors. The platform operates exclusively on a project-by-project basis, aligning private capital, structuring expertise, and execution capabilities with national priorities and European security objectives.

“Europe’s long-term security depends on strong industrial foundations, trusted supply chains, and advanced capabilities. European Defence Fund partners with public institutions to support projects that reinforce defence readiness, technological sovereignty, and industrial resilience,” a spokesperson for the Fund said.

A Sovereign-Aligned Defence Platform

European Defence Fund does not raise capital from the public, does not solicit investors, and does not operate as a traditional fundraising vehicle. Instead, it deploys private, non-pooled capital into clearly defined defence and security projects that are formally endorsed by relevant authorities and structured for long-term sustainability.
